This compass is designed to allow you to use your smartphone as a navigation aide. It uses the internal sensors on your phone to determine your direction and allows you to view through the rose to display a map image or some land mark easily. This compass does not rely on GPS and will not drain your battery with extra bells and whistles. You can re-calibrate the compass in just a few seconds and add an offset adjustment should your needs require true north or some adjustment based on your location. The compass application is sponsored by Zion Gear Company and the Adapt and Carry On blog. This application does show in-application banners for specials or articles of note.
